High precision pipes, cold-drawn tube, cold drawn seamless polished steel tube, hydraulic high pressure pipes
Basic way of indicating the size of steel pipes is outside diameter(OD) x wall thickness (THK) (example: precision pipe 6×1)

Steel pipe weight calculation /METR = (OD – THK) x THK x 0.02466
OD-pipe outside diameter, THK- pipe wall thickness
for example pipe: 6×1 , weight of 1 m of pipe = (6-1) * 1 * 0.02466 = 0.1233 KG/M


Precision Pipe standard lenght: L= 5,8 m-6,2 m.

Precision Pipes materials made:

  • carbon steel precision pipe, special steel precision pipe (ST35, ST37.4, ST45, ST55, CK45, ST52 according DIN2391) sizes = 4 ÷ 60 mm,
  • stainless steel precision pipe (304, 304L, 321, 316, 316L, 347H, 310S, 904L, 800H, S31803) sizes = 6 ÷ 532 mm

Precision Pipes are produced by using different material or steel treatment standard and because of that the same outside diameter pipe can have different wall thickness customized according client needs so there is no such think like “standard precision pipe”

If you have doubt what precision pipe use for high pressure hydraulic applications you need to keep in mind that two basic types of precision pipes are avaliable

  1. cold drawn seamless polished steel tube – carbon steel (ST35 lub ST37)
  2. black phosphated precision pipes

Cold drawn seamless polished carbon steel pipes are suitable for most applications. Black phosphated precision pipes are 30-40% more expensive comparing to cold drawn seamless polished steel tubes.The main difference between cold drawn seamless polished pipes and black phosphated precision pipes is better rust resistant because of phosphat surface treatment.

We decided to not show the precision pipe production range table and precision pipe working pressure range table because there is so many variants and types of precision pipes and even if we show some table that will not cover all avaliable production range. We strongly recomend to ask us directly for availability.

Example:
A) pipe material is AISI316Ti, acc. to American standard, not based on DIN standard, it’s the equivalent of 1.4571, only the Nickel percentage has slight difference.
B) About surface treatment, not polished & not black — it means original surface effect, in steel industry call it “2B”.
